Privacy Policy
How Dimple collects, uses, protects and shares your information — including child photos and personalization details — when you use dimpleit.com.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Dimple ("Dimple", "we", "us", "our") operates dimpleit.com and creates personalized stickers, storybooks, school name slips and related keepsakes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect and share information, including child photos and personalization details.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information so we can create and deliver your personalized products:
- Account & contact details: name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- Personalization content: the child's photo, name, class, section, roll number, school name, birth month, age and any text or details you provide for a product.
- Order & transaction details: items ordered, options selected, order value, coupons used and order status. Card and UPI details are processed by our payment partner and are not stored by us.
- Technical & usage data: device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed and basic analytics, collected to keep the site secure and working.
2. Children's photos & data
Dimple products are created for and about children, but our service is intended to be used by adults aged 18 or over — a parent, legal guardian, or an adult with the parent or guardian's permission.
- Before upload, we ask the adult using the service to confirm that they are at least 18 and are the parent or guardian, or have the parent or guardian's permission, to share the child's photo and details for the requested personalization.
- Child photos and details are used only to create the requested preview, prepare and fulfil the order, and provide order support. We do not sell them, use them for targeted advertising, or use them for marketing.
- If you believe a child's information was shared without appropriate permission, contact us immediately at dimpleeit@gmail.com so we can review and delete it where applicable.
3. How we use information
- To create previews and produce your personalized products.
- To process orders, payments, delivery and returns.
- To provide customer support and respond to your queries.
- To send order and delivery updates, and (where you opt in) offers.
- To prevent fraud, keep the website secure and meet legal obligations.
4. Consent & legal basis
We record the consent confirmation made during photo upload and the acceptance of our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy at checkout, including the policy version, source, server-recorded time, and the signed-in user or anonymous guest identifier. You can ask to withdraw photo-processing consent before production starts by contacting us. Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide the requested preview or personalized product.
5. AI preview processing
When you request an AI preview, we process the uploaded child photo, selected template and relevant personalization details through our Google Cloud and Gemini-based preview service. The preview is a private reference for your order; it is not used to train Dimple's product designs or for advertising. Final print artwork is reviewed and prepared separately for the order.
6. Third-party processors & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Technology providers: Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, server operations and AI preview processing; and our web-hosting provider for the website.
- Order providers: PhonePe for payment processing, printing and production partners to fulfil an order, and courier/logistics partners to deliver it.
- Service providers: processors acting for Dimple and only for the services described in this Policy.
- Legal & safety recipients, where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Dimple, our customers or the public.
7. Payments
Payments are handled by secure third-party payment gateways. Dimple does not store your full card number, CVV or UPI credentials. Please review your payment provider's own privacy terms.
8. Data retention
We retain account-linked child photos, previews and personalization details while they are needed to provide the requested preview, fulfil an order, or provide support. We do not currently promise a fixed automatic deletion date for this content. You may delete an uploaded photo from your account where that option is available, or request deletion using the contact details below. Order, payment, tax and dispute records may be retained for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to handle the order.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted handling of child photos — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
10. Your rights & deletion requests
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent for future processing. Email dimpleeit@gmail.com from the email used for your order and include your order number where available. We may ask for information to verify the request before acting on it.
11. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your cart, keep you signed in, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality such as the cart.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
13. Privacy and grievance contact
For privacy questions, deletion requests, consent withdrawal or grievances about personal-data processing, contact Dimple at dimpleeit@gmail.com or call/WhatsApp +91 80043 24032. This is the business contact point for questions about how Dimple processes personal data.
