Start with a clear, front-facing photo
Choose a photo where your child’s face is visible, in focus, and not hidden by another person, a hand, a hat, or a strong shadow. A front-facing image gives the preview the clearest reference.
One good photo is enough. You may upload up to four angles when the product form offers that option, but every photo should show the same child clearly.
Look for even light and natural colour
Daylight near a window is often a practical choice. Avoid a bright light directly behind the child, very dark rooms, or colour filters that substantially change skin tone.
Use the original image from your phone when possible. Heavily cropped screenshots and compressed images can lose useful detail.
Keep the face large enough in the frame
A photo does not need a plain background, but the child should be easy to identify. A single-child photo generally gives a more reliable starting point than a group photo.
Confirm you have permission to use the photo
Only upload a photo when you are the parent or guardian, or have the parent or guardian’s permission. Dimple asks for this confirmation before a personalized preview or order is created.
